BIKE OF THE DAY!! Andres, riding from NYC on his Ducati Elefant 900...dual sport. My Ducati expert from www.dezmo.com says that the Elefant was Ducati's answer to the BMW GS Paris-Dakar (basically a street-legal desert racer) They were sold as Cagivas (Ducati's parent company at the time) for awhile then became Ducatis in the late 80s before they phased the model out. They never did sell well in the US, but did better in europe where that style bike is more popular.
