2006 Tour de Apalachicola Nancy and Ron spent three days riding KLRs in the Apalachicola National Forest with some 30 other adventure riders. From scenic and desolate Florida coastal roads to backwoods Forest Service roads to piney woods single tracks - we tried it all. 2005 October Trip Down A1A and US1 on the Florida East Coast After hurricanes changed our travel plans several times, we headed for Fernandina Beach to explore A1A, Florida's coastal highway. We decided to try some roads closer to home since it is so hard for us to get away for any long time frame. We took the RV and the dual sports to the Blue Ridge Parkway and explored some North Carolina and Tennessee Roads described in Hawk Hogebak's motorcycling books. We found a lot more than we expected. 2004 Adventures in Colorado, New Mexico, & Area 51
We began our adventures in the mud baths and mineral springs of Ojo Caliente, made our way to Taos, then spent a fantastic week in Ouray Colorady bagging numerous San Juan mountain passes on our KLR's and a rented jeep, and finished up our adventure by hunting for UFO's and discovering the fun of riding a dry lake bed in Area 51. Big Bend National Park & Terlingua Ranch Texas
November 2001 - 200,000 thousand acre private ranch with 1500 miles of (very) unimproved roads and the least visited National Park in the country. - no people and plenty of dirt, what more could you want??
