Tail of the Dragon is selling its 2003 Four Winds Funmover after purchasing a larger Funmover. In some respects we'll miss the smaller unit. It is actually cheaper to drive running on gasline rather than diesel and it handles so much better in traffic and back road exploring.
This is the same unit that has been featured in all of our Tail of the Dragon On Tour articles. It has been well cared for and has just been completely serviced including the generator.
We purchased the unit new and have been the only user. We just installed a new awning to replace the old one that was a little ragged.
The rear lift gate makes loading and unloading equipment an easy task. We have carried three KLR 650 at once. We have also been able to load two Suzuki Eiger Quadrunner 4-Wheelers side by side.
This unit is great for getting to those normally hard to reach places for RVs. We had some great times in the Ocala National Forest taking back roads that would not be possible in our new rig.
We have also towed an enclosed trailer with no problem at all. There is plenty of power to get you up the hills even when towing. |
